 JOB SUMMARY

The Junior Project Engineer-in-Training will be responsible for providing engineering support to the intermediate and senior engineers within the Danmare Group. The Junior Project Engineer-in-Training will be experienced in preparing PFD’s, P&ID drawings, drawing of existing facilities, the design of proposed projects for build, tendering purposes, and supervise during installations with Project management team. Assist lead project managers with multiple projects that may range in complexity dollars and life cycle. Perform equipment check – out, validation testing during project start up and generate documentation for each test. Preparing budgets for mechanical and electrical contractor billing and SAP interaction for project budget & invoice tracking. Travel may be a requirement of this position when required for project/engineering work. 

SKILLED REQUIRMENTS

• Drawing layout of existing facilities and the design of proposed projects for build and tendering purposes. Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required. 
• Project management and site contractor supervision during installations. Responsibilities include timeline & budget management and an attention to client’s safety procedures at all times. 
• Assist with equipment sizing for processing applications. 
• Assist lead project managers with multiple projects that may range in complexity, dollars and life cycle. 
• Presentable to customer with good business sense. 
• Excellent communication skills. 
• Ability to interact and gain respect quickly at all levels of manufacturing organization. 
• Strong scheduling, budget leadership, facilitating meetings, technical review and resolution ability. 

OTHER ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform equipment check-out and validation testing during project start-up. Generate documentation for each test. 
• Budget management for mechanical and electrical contractor billing. 
• Follow job guidelines as described in the DANMARE practice and procedure manual. 
• Work as a member of an engineering team, cooperating with the team leader and with DANMARE management in an effective manner to perform engineering work of a high quality, with no errors. 
• Work in a productive manner. While on company time, do not conduct personal business or business not related to DANMARE primary business, unless specifically approved by the supervisor. 
• Take care to produce work which is right the first time. 
• Be aware of budget and schedule constraints on all work executed for DANMARE. Make every effort to complete assignment on time and on schedule. 
• Treat all DANMARE information and customer information in a confidential manner. 
• Understand and abide by office policies and procedures. 
• Informs director of problems or issues which affect the companies’ ability to meet customer requirements. 
• Maintain and continually improve technical and professional abilities described above and required to perform assigned tasks. This may be done through reading and continuing education. 
• Promptly inform DANMARE management of any change in customer status or any information on customer business which may affect DANMARE’s relationship with the customer or with work in progress.

• Advanced AutoCAD skills.

SOFTWARE APPLICATION AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

• Understand and efficiently use Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, AutoCAD, and Viso. 

EDUCATION

• Bachelor of engineering degree

EXPERIENCE

• 1-3 years of related food manufacturing engineering experience as outline in the job summary
