Warehouse Manager, Peace River Territory

Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Territory Sales Representative (TSR) for the Peace River territory, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all warehouse activities, ensuring the receipt, assembly, co-ordination and safety of goods coming through the facility. Also, the Warehouse Manager will ensure that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities. 
Reporting to this position will be any warehouse staff, including product assembly personnel. The Warehouse Manager will work cooperatively with the other members of the AGI management team, including the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), to ensure customer’s needs are being addressed on a timely basis.


Duties & Responsibilities:
As a part of the AGI Sales and Marketing team, the Warehouse Manager will assume primary responsibility for executing the following goals and tasks including:
1)  Manages all warehouse activities.
2)  Recruits, motivates and supervises the activities of all other warehouse personnel.
3)  Coordinates the receipt and distribution of goods coming through the facility.
4)  Receives, records and fulfills orders for goods from AGI product dealers and the Peace River TSR.
5)  Issues inventory release documents.
6)  In conjunction with the Peace River TSR and the Regional Sales Manager, maintains appropriate stock point inventory levels.
7)  Coordinates and leads the assembly of product for local delivery in the Peace River Territory or for stocking purposes.
8)  Assists the corresponding warranty department in retrieval of warranty return parts.
9)  Provides technical and service support for telephone inquiries from dealers and end-use customers.
10)  Keeps the Peace River TSR and Regional Sales Manager apprised of any relevant feedback and information received from dealers and end-use customers.
11)  Performs other duties as required.


Skills & Competencies:
•  Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 5-7 years of experience in agricultural equipment distribution or in a related area.
•  Familiar with the concepts, practices, and procedures of agricultural equipment distribution.
•  Performs a variety of complicated tasks, therefore a degree of creativity and an aptitude for problem-solving is required.   
•  Strong business and interpersonal skills.
•  A professional attitude including a positive, optimistic approach to work with an ability to lead and motivate subordinate positions.
•  Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
•  Well organized.
•  Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•  Proficient in using Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Excel, Word.
•  Valid Driver’s Licence.
•  Background in Agriculture and experience in farm equipment sales and distribution is key, but not mandatory.
