Brownie Systems substructures are design to support MFS 15 ft. (4.57 m) diameter or 18 ft. (5.49 m) diameter farm duty hopper tanks respectively. Each substructure will support an (8) ring hopper tank with 45° outlet cone or a (7) ring hopper tank with 60° outlet cone.
Brownie Systems substructures are not designed to support MFS commercial hopper tanks or any hopper tank supplied by another manufacturer.
All structural steel members are designed in accordance with the requirements set out by the 13th Edition of the American Institute of Steel Construction’s (AISC) “Manual of Steel Construction.” Loading conditions are in accordance with applicable portions of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ “Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures” (ASCE 7-10)
The minimum design requirements for Brownie structures are in accordance with the applicable portions of the 2009 International Building Code (IBC).
