PROJECT DETAILS

AGI VIS worked with the end client, an integrated pork producer, to understand their feed manufacturing needs including, modeling feed requirements and production capabilities and ration ingredient storage optimization and processing.  A facility was designed to process 50 tonnes of feed per hour based on 2 shifts, 5 days per week. 

TIMELINE

30 months including initial design, construction, and commissioning.

SOLUTION

AGI VIS worked together with the owner to determine the precise manufacturing capacities required to meet the feeding requirements of the owner’s pig production facilities. Complex feeding programs, unique ingredients, and outbound logistics required in-depth analysis prior to commencing physical process flow of the facility. AGI-VIS then collaborated closely with the owner and general contractor to determine the optimum physical layout of the plant and selection of AGI equipment and equipment from third-party vendors for the processing systems. Post commissioning capacity of the feed mill has exceeded the initial expectations of the owner.

INSTALLATION CAPACITIES

Outside Storage 5620 tons, Overhead Ingredient Storage 1,287 tons, Overhead pre-pellet and loadout storage 1,030 tons.
