Determining the right bin size for your operation

Safety is always top of mind at AGI. Whether it be inside or outside the bin, our engineering team is dedicated to your safety. Our products are designed to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements.

AGI bins are engineered for superior strength, utilizing heavy gauge, ultra flat corrugated steel. Bin sheets have a 4” wide corrugation and are rolled from 65,000 PSI tensile strength, allowing for stronger yet lighter sheets. Extra strong construction throughout results in a bin better equipped to handle heavy snow loads or the stress of extreme temperatures and high winds. And no internal stiffeners deliver superior bin clean-out, eliminating the possibility of grain hang-up.

AGI bins are available in both unstiffened and stiffened options. Unstiffened bins range in size from 1,850 to 72,720 bushels while stiffened bins range in size from 2,940 to 722,200 bushels.

Bin Naming
Ever wondered how we determine the model number of an AGI grain bin?

To determine the diameter of a bin, count the sheets on a single tier and times by 3.
Example: 8 sheets x 3 = 24 feet (7 meters)
Then count how many rings are on the bin.
Example: 6 tiers
So this example would be a 2406 bin model.
